Together with the other Year 2 classes we harvested veges from our Year 2 garden and made a stir fry. There were so many veges and we tried them all. Everybody had some and some people asked for extra helpings because they thought it was so delicious. We each tried teriyaki stir fry and sweet chili stir fry. Yum yum!!

Wow, we had so much fun having a stall to sell some veges from the Year 2 garden. We made signs to put up around school and lots of people came to have a look and buy something. We made some money too which will go back into our special garden.
As part of our inquiry into wellbeing, Room 11 made pumpkin soup together. We all got to have a turn mixing it and then we got to eat it. Most of us thought it was yummy, but a few of us weren't used to the creamy texture!!

As part of our inquiry into wellbeing, Room 11 visited East Tamaki Primary School to learn all about gardening. Mrs Armstrong and some Year 6 children spoke to us about their garden. We got to plant our own lettuce seeds and we got to dig sheep pellets into the garden.

We read the big book Bird Beaks so Mrs Millar brought Louis in for a visit so we could figure out what kind of beak he had. We decided he had the perfect beak for cracking seeds!! We watched him eating his favourite two minute noodles and peas. Lots of us got to hold him and Mrs Holdom gave him a little head rub!!
